Impact of Personality Tendencies on Entrepreneurial Intention ...
Abstract
This article aims to build upon the findings of earlier domestic and international studies by comprehensively examining the factors that influence individuals’ entrepreneurial intentions in Vietnam. Applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies with 210 samples of university students in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the study identified personality tendencies as a key factor in this analysis. Subsequent examination of perceived behavioral control, attitude, subjective norms, and entrepreneurship-oriented education revealed that all four remaining variables exert a positive influence on entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, the study delved into the moderating role of entrepreneurship-oriented education in strengthening these causal relationships, demonstrating the thoroughness and reliability of the research. These findings not only clarify the factors driving the entrepreneurial intentions of university students but also provide a theoretical foundation for the development of more effective and efficient entrepreneurship education programs in Vietnam. The study also encourages policymakers to create more supportive regulations to promote entrepreneurial intentions.
