Transitioning Hong Kong Museums: From Traditional Learning to Visitor Engagement

Abstract

Museum learning in Hong Kong become more popular in recent years. The significant transformation of traditional learning strategies to dynamic active learning emphasize the technological advancements. The shift is also driven by visitor expectations and modern educational goals. In this paper, I explore its transformation and examine the importance of interactive experiences through case studies in the situation of Hong Kong as well as addressing the challenges that the cultural sectors are facing. Future directions of development in enhancing visitor engagement are also discussed, focusing on balancing modern learning approaches and accessibility in museum experiences.
