The Impact of Addie Designed Lessons in Scissor and Knife Use on the Self-efficacy of Collegiate Art Students

Abstract

This paper examines the use of rapid instructional design as an effective tool for conveying scissor and craft knife skills to undergraduate collegiate art students as a means of creating greater self-efficacy among these students. The researcher administered The New General Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Chen as a measurement of self-efficacy before and after each “how-to” lesson. Likewise, mini Delphi focus groups were held to gain insight into the thoughts of participants.
