Navigating Diversity in a Virginia County USA Hotel: How Intercultural Leadership Shapes Organizational Culture and Employee Engagement

Abstract

This research project explores the role of leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion within the United States hotel industry. The study examines how leaders can effectively navigate and manage a diverse workforce by focusing on intercultural leadership. Through a case study featuring interviews with organizational leaders and employees, the research assesses the impact of leadership strategies on employee engagement, organizational culture, and overall productivity at a mid-sized chain hotel in a county in Virginia. The findings should provide practical insights for leaders fostering inclusive environments that value cultural differences, ultimately improving hotel performance and employee satisfaction.
