Description
Book Presentation & Debate - Global and Regional Governance in a Multicentric World
The book addresses the main features and challenges of the coexistence between two forms of governance (the one resulting from Bretton Woods on the one hand and, on the other, related to the mechanisms, agreements and institutions that have been forming the platform led by emerging countries) and how this process has impacted the main macro-regions in the international arena. Taking into account the complexity and multiple dimensions that permeate the topic, the book presents the main initiatives from a multicentric perspective, in which the players are dynamically repositioning themselves to face a changing international context.
Rooted in the latest international relations trends, this book offers an incisive exploration of new governance models emerging in a “multi-centric” world. It raises pressing questions about global stability as follows: Will these rising powers succeed in transforming the global order? How do they envision international cooperation? Can their ideas coexist with established Western powers?
Through this work, readers gain a nuanced understanding of the forces shaping tomorrow’s world and the potential pathways for reform.
