Abstract
Regardless of the complexity of an architectural project, decisions regarding the organization of form occur at all scales. The methodological proposal of Basic Workshop J at the University of Lima emphasizes, as the foundation for architectural design training, the cultivation of compositional skills and geometric proficiency centered on the creation of form and space. Through a series of exercises, the workshop guides students to make informed decisions by identifying fundamental geometric elements, which shape the figure, form, order, and architectural space. This process culminates in exploring the interplay of form, composition, and their interaction with topography.
