Abstract
In the modern world, there has been a great discussion regarding styles of leadership. From the Great Books of the Western World, we are able to see historical examples of leadership using specific monarchs in history and the styles of leadership they exuded, such as servant leadership, Machiavellian leadership, philosopher-king, etc. This session will serve as an analysis of those styles of leadership, how to discuss effective leaders even when they do bad things with modern students, and real-world connections to modern leaders.
