Abstract
This workshop addresses the emotional and relational toll that caregiving and aging can have on individuals and families. Nancy Landrum, a relationship coach with over 30 years of experience, introduces attendees to practical tools that reduce resentment and restore connection. Drawing from her lived experience and clinical background, Nancy guides participants through the core skill of setting healthy boundaries—essential for caregivers and seniors alike. Attendees will engage in experiential learning that includes real-life examples, skill practice, and humor to reinforce key concepts. The workshop emphasizes how unspoken expectations and poor communication often lead to unnecessary stress, especially in aging or caregiving contexts. Participants will leave with a sense of empowerment and at least one actionable skill to improve their relationships immediately. This session is ideal for professionals working with aging populations, family caregivers, and seniors themselves. Nancy’s compassionate approach invites attendees to see relationships not as sources of stress but as opportunities for connection and mutual respect.
