Abstract
Sport and art have many parallels as activities, but little overlap as cultures. As a result, pathways for strengthening individuals and communities are neglected, while fear of difference and tribalism become more entrenched. Using the case study of a museum exhibition planned to coincide with the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, this paper asks: How can crossover participation and collaborative advocacy be fostered to bring the worlds of sport and art closer together?
