Abstract
The UK government just announced (November 2025) reforms to its education curriculum. For the first time, all children in primary schools will have the entitlement to some fundamental knowledge of climate science and sustainability. Since 2020, the charity Climate Change All Change has been working in primary schools to promote young children’s learning about the climate crisis specifically through the cross-curricular theme of Design. The presentation explores themes and data from five years of activity with children, teachers, and practicing designers across the UK, and consider how art and design create inclusive and agentic opportunities for children’s climate learning.
