DeepMed - AI-Powered Drug Recommendation System

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence in medicine has revolutionized clinical decision-making. DeepMed is an AI powered drug recommendation system designed to provide per sonalized medication recommendations based on patient-specific attributes. The system processes inputs such as age, gender, and diagnosis to recommend essential details, including drug name, dosage, duration, frequency, route, and indication. DeepMed leverages advanced machine learning techniques, particularly ClinicalBERT, a fine-tuned deep learning transformer model trained on electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical data. This enables the system to understand complex medical contexts, accurately interpret patient information, and generate precise drug recommendations. By analyzing large datasets, DeepMed enhances prediction accuracy and minimizes human errors in drug administration. Additionally, the system incorporates real time data processing to ensure up-to-date recommendations aligned with the latest medical guidelines and research.This AI driven Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) aids healthcare professionals by offering data-driven insights, ensuring patient safety, and optimizing treatment plans. DeepMed is designed to assist physicians in making well-informed recommending decisions, reducing the risk of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs), and improving overall patient outcomes. Extensive testing and validation demonstrate the model’s effectiveness in minimizing medication errors while improving the efficiency and accessibility of medical prescriptions. The study explores the transformative potential of AI-driven prescription systems in modern health care, highlighting their role in improving patient outcomes and streamlining medical practices.
