Abstract
Solat is the second pillar of Islam. It is obligatory for all Muslims who have reached puberty even when they are ill or travelling. Solat comprise physical, functional, cognitive, psychological and emotional benefits. Stroke patients who perform Solat regain functional independence earlier than those who do not perform Solat. This multi-centre pilot project from Malaysia, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia aims to showcase stroke patients who use Solat as a rehabilitation strategy to improve functional outcomes.
