Student, Teacher and AI in Human-machine Partnership: Features and Practices of Interaction

Abstract

The authors proceed from the fact that AI becomes the third subject of the educational process along with the student and the teacher. Accordingly, models of human-machine partnership (HMP) in the educational process are formed, the essence and basic characteristics of which the authors presented in several of their previous works. The purpose of the study is to consider possible models of HMP implementation in the higher education system. Particular attention is paid to the features of the roles of subjects of pedagogical communication and the functions of these subjects that already exist today, and the prospects for their development in the future. Special attention is to the quality of preparation of prompts for AI and training of subjects of pedagogical interaction in this regard. The authors consider their own experience in implementing similar models, including humanistically oriented practices of implementing dialogues between HMP subjects. Personalization of the educational process is considered as a key means of humanizing learning in the context of the increasing role of AI in it.
