  Dr. Ramos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her teaching and scholarly interests include international social work, multiculturalism, immigration, and globalization. She has extensive experience building collaborative partnerships with higher education institutions, communities, and professional organizations in Peru. Currently, Dr. Ramos is working with Peruvian educators, community advocates, and government and non-governmental organizations in projects that help promote capacity building and economic development in Northern Peru.
