Synthesis Paragraph: Revolutionary War

Colonists were concerned about the Stamp Act because it taxed everything that was a written document which, in their eyes, was unnecessary. The British just wanted to make money off of them no matter what. The Americans were also angry that a tax was being put on something that allows them to write their radical ideas down or something that allows them to read such radical ideas. The formation of a new American government, during this time period, would not have taxed paper related goods because they were not in favor of the Stamp Act and the British were trying to raise money, but a new American government would have found a way to raise money that the people liked too.
