Standardized test are best when use in large scale monitoring and comparing performances of students across schools using the same standards. Often use in measuring specific skills and knowledge aligned with the curriculum. It ensures objectivity and reliability in identifying trends and gaps in policies and resources. On the otherhand, Standardized test are worst as it tends to ignore context such as language differences or access to instruction. It measure students' skills poorly like creativity and practical skills. It is not advisable to use as a basis for decisions such as promotion and teacher evaluation.

Strengths of Standardized Test - high realibility and objectivity, administered fairly in large groups, useful in identifying learning gaps

Weaknesses of Standardized Test - limited in measuring high order thinking and critical thinking skills, limited in terms of cultural context

In conclusion, standardized tests are most effective when use with other assessment tools. They are not advisable if overused and treated as only assessment that measures of learning and ability. It is best for system-level evaluation however, it needs to be complemented with other assessments to provide holistic student's learning.
