While AI has become a transformative force in education, the concern about it potentially limiting students' thinking is valid, but can be addressed through proper implementation. As an Assistant Professor in Software Development, I have observed that AI can actually enhance critical thinking when used as a tool rather than a replacement for human thought. In my cybersecurity classes, when students use AI tools to analyze code or identify security vulnerabilities, they don't simply accept the AI's suggestions. Instead, they engage in deeper thinking by questioning recommendations, validating solutions, and understanding underlying principles. The key for educators is to design learning experiences that use AI as a catalyst for deeper thinking rather than a shortcut to answers. When implemented thoughtfully, AI can enhance transformative learning by providing students with more opportunities to engage in higher-order thinking and problem-solving, rather than limiting their intellectual development.
Yes, it is a new transformative learning and helping our students to their work assignment. But it is useful or effective for learning process? I think No, because learner cannot think in their own idea, they are dependent to the AI answer.
