Learning and Teaching in Transition: A Personal Perspective
As someone who has experienced education both as a student and later as a teacher, I’ve felt the recent changes in education quite profoundly. A few years ago, studying meant sitting in lecture halls, taking notes by hand, and being physically present. Today, it’s about flexible online courses, interactive platforms, and the ability to learn from anywhere, at your own pace.
When I started teaching, one of my first groups included students joining from different cities—and even different countries. We used tools like Miro for collaboration, held discussions on Zoom, and assigned work through Google Classroom. One student, for example, was on maternity leave and wrote her essays on her phone while her baby slept beside her. That moment really shifted my perspective on what learning can look like.
The changes in education aren’t just about technology. They’re about making knowledge more accessible and human-centered. And I’m grateful to be part of this transformation.
