Shifting Roles in Education: From Authority to Facilitator
In my own experience, one of the biggest recent changes in education has been the move toward digital and blended learning. As a student, I’ve noticed that online platforms not only make content more accessible, but also give us flexibility in how and when we learn. For example, during the pandemic, I attended lectures online and could revisit recorded sessions at my own pace — something that was not possible in traditional classrooms.
At the same time, this change also brought challenges. It required much more self-discipline and sometimes felt isolating compared to the energy of in-person discussions. Still, I think this shift reflects the broader trend in education: valuing adaptability, technology, and student-centered learning.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I really relate to what you said about flexibility and self-discipline. Being able to revisit recorded lectures helped me a lot too, especially when I needed more time to understand something. But I also agree that the lack of in-person interaction can feel isolating. It’s interesting how this shift is pushing us to become more independent learners, while also showing how important real connection still is in education.
