New Learning MOOC’s Updates

Personal experience on recent changes in education

As a teacher in the Department of Education here in the Philippines, I’ve really felt how education has changed in recent years. One big shift was during the pandemic, when we had to move from face-to-face classes to modular and online learning. It was tough, especially in Physical Education, since PE is supposed to be active and interactive. Many students didn’t have enough space, proper equipment, stable internet to join activities or even gadgets to use for onlinbe lessons. I had to adjust by giving more flexible tasks, like simple home exercises or asking them torecord videos doing their performances. It was challenging because not all students were motivated or consistent, and I also felt limited as a teacher since I couldn’t guide them personally the way I used to. But looking back, I think these changes taught me to be more resourceful and patient, and to focus not only on skills but also on keeping students engaged and healthy despite the circumstances. what matters most is that they have to continue learning especially during special circumtances.
