Rising Tide, Resilient Voices
Abstract
Bangladesh is ground zero for climate change; its women are ground breakers in climate action. Drawing on fieldwork across four of the country’s most hazard‑prone regions, Rising Tide, Resilient Voices shows how women turn experience into expertise—mobilising neighbours before cyclones, re‑imagining agriculture in salty soils, and demanding equitable adaptation policies. Combining feminist theory with vivid storytelling, Dr Mumita Tanjeela reframes women not as victims but as indispensable architects of resilience. This book is a call to listen to, invest in and learn from those who feel climate impacts first and fight back hardest.
