Abstract

This article examines the socio-cultural changes that have occurred in the rural community of Culamega, Tasikmalaya, in response to the development of digital technology. The research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, including in-depth interviews and participatory observation of villagers. The findings show that the adoption of digital technology has changed the way people interact, communicate, and access information. People are now more connected to the outside world through social media and other digital platforms, opening up new opportunities in entrepreneurship and education. However, this transformation also brings challenges, such as the digital divide, which creates differences in access between individuals and groups. In addition, changes in traditional values and the way communities celebrate local culture are threatened by the impact of globalization. This study underscores the importance of digital education initiatives and cultural preservation programs in ensuring that socio-cultural transformation takes place in an inclusive and sustainable manner.
