Assessment for Learning MOOC’s Updates
Portfolio-An acceptable form of alternative assessment
Another example of alternative assessment that is being utilized by a lot of people are portfolios. This showcases the different tasks or skills that the student has learned and accomplished. This type of alternative assessment, encourages independence in learning and as well as showcasing one’s pride in progressing over time at different stages.
Portfolio is considered to be a developmental process that shows student’s progress and growth over time. As a teacher, you can measure how far your student has learned in terms of academics and at the same time providing solutions or interventions on how you can better support their learning journey.
