Teacher in Modern Times
Teachers now are very thankful in technology because it helps us a lot in doing our school tasks like presentations, instructional and assessment materials. Technology gives us a more complex ideas on how our class become more engaging and interactive. Students in 21st century are influenced by social media platforms and applications that affects their mind and behavior, that's why teachers should be more advanced with dealing them. The teachers are facilitators of the learning. The focus of a 21st century teacher is on student by developing higher order thinking skills, effective communication, collaboration, and other skills that they need in the 21st century. The teachers must develop new teaching strategies that are radically different.
The teachers in modern times uses technology to lighten their workload in school , however sometimes it causes stress to DepEd teachers few reasons are
no trainings to use updated applications
no high tech gadgets e.g laptop that can process documents easily
not enough budget to buy memory storage
As experienced , students sometimes are updated compared to teachers.
I’m really grateful for how technology supports teachers in preparing lessons, materials, and assessments. It makes learning more engaging and interactive. Since students today are so influenced by social media, teachers need to adapt and act as facilitators who help build skills like critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. This means moving beyond traditional methods and using innovative strategies for 21st-century learners.
