New Learning MOOC’s Updates
Philippines: The Modern Education
The education in the Philippines was divided into Student-centered approaoch ,where teacher focus in collaboration , inquiry -based teaching method -this approach is applicable to formal classroom.
Blended learning, school shifts to online , modular mode of learning using google meet ,MS teams or FB messenger . However , there are limitations of this learning lto those learners came from low family profile where students have no smartphones or laptop at home . The teacher will create , modify a Learning Activity sheets to the level of the students.
The Inclusive learning is the very challenging part of a teacher , DepEd is not ready for this set up , teachers has not enough trainings to handle learniers with disability ,learners with varied needs . One teacher in a classroom is struggle especially in primary level . Classroom facilities is not conducive for inclusive set up .
Values education , the learning incorporates the values of education like bayanihan , respect etc,
Inspite of this modern times of education , as a teacher I still use didactic method of teaching . I used board and chalk to explain the concept of the lesson . I let my student do board work in parallel to my discussions, in diverse set up there are students likes to see teacher writing the topic , activity on the board rather that giving them instruction in a piece of paper or showing instruction in a powerpoint presentation.

Nice!
