New Learning MOOC’s Updates

Experiencing Education as Both Student and Teacher

I’ve seen recent changes in education from two perspectives: as a student and as a teacher during my internship. As a student, I noticed the shift to online and hybrid learning gave me more flexibility, but it also changed the way we interact — discussions now often happen in forums instead of informal conversations. As a teacher-intern, I experienced the challenge of keeping students engaged in digital settings. Some students thrived with technology, while others struggled with access or focus, which taught me that equity and creativity are crucial in lesson planning. These dual perspectives made me realize that the “new learning” environment offers both opportunities and challenges, requiring us to rethink not just how students learn, but also how teachers teach.
