Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is an educational program launched in Indonesia as part of a broader effort to reform and modernize the education system. This curriculum emphasizes the development of character and skills aligned with the values of Pancasila, as articulated in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening (P5) project. Given that the Merdeka Curriculum encompasses numerous learning achievement indicators, teachers must conduct complex evaluations, including formative and summative assessments, and assess students based on knowledge, skills, and attitudes throughout the learning process. This study aims to develop an appropriate tool to facilitate teachers’ performance in educational assessments through the creation of a learning assessment system. This research employs a development methodology using the FAST (Framework for the Application of System Thinking) approach, which includes eight stages: scope definition, problem analysis, requirements analysis, logical design, decision analysis, physical design, construction and testing, and installation and delivery. This approach supports the systematic development of the application. Assessment system was deemed highly suitable for implementation based on validations from experts and user trials. Feasibility data were gathered through expert questionnaires and analyzed using McCall’s quality metrics to determine the final category. This research demonstrates that the development of the Merdeka Curriculum Assessment System for high school is highly beneficial for supporting the school’s vision and mission and aligns well with the P5 Merdeka Curriculum.
