New Learning MOOC’s Updates
Is it just me?
Being a PE teacher in a provincial school, I've seen firsthand how education has evolved to be more student-oriented and skills-based with the K-12 and MATATAG curricula. This has translated to more planning, inventiveness, and effort on my part, as I have to create activities that exceed traditional drills—such as fitness challenges, team sports, and goal-setting exercises that promote critical thinking, teamwork, and health awareness. Teaching in rural areas comes with additional challenges, such as fewer equipment, poor facilities, and sometimes inconsistent access to technology, which compels me to be creative and flexible and lesson-plan around what's in hand. Although the increased workload, these adaptations have made my teaching more purposeful, as I witness students engaging actively, taking personal responsibility for their development, and learning competencies that spill into life outside of the classroom.

as a teacvher teaching PE, transformative learning can be applied by connecting activities to students’ real-life experiences, like personal fitness goals or community games, and encouraging reflection on their progress. This i have used so as Students can develop critical thinking and problem-solving by analyzing techniques and planning workouts, while collaboration and peer teaching build teamwork and communication skills. Using technology, such as recording performances or fitness apps, and giving students autonomy in choosing or designing activities, this is also true when I track my athletes through their smart watch. it helps make learning meaningful, engaging, and empowering.
