Dynamics of Learning
Mimesis involves learning through observation and imitation, such as following models or examples to build foundational knowledge. Synthesis occurs when learners connect and apply ideas across contexts, for example by integrating theory and practice in project-based tasks. Reflexivity involves critical reflection on one’s learning, assumptions, and understanding, often through self-assessment or discussion. A curriculum that combines these processes supports transformative learning by moving students from reproducing knowledge to actively constructing, integrating, and critically reshaping it.
