Didactic Pedagogy
A common example of didactic pedagogy today is a teacher-led lecture, where knowledge is transmitted directly to students. This approach is appropriate for introducing new or complex concepts, ensuring accuracy, or covering content efficiently. However, it becomes anachronistic when used as the sole teaching method, especially in contexts that require critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world application. In contemporary education, didactic pedagogy is most effective when used selectively and combined with more learner-centered approaches.
