I must admit I am rather “an old school”, despite of being young, someone who still keeps a classic calendar diary notebook and enjoys black and white movies. 

According to my personal experience, we are emerging in AI effortless without even releasing it . I use AI both in my personal and professional life. When I wake up I reach out for my iPhone to help me to start my day and make my decisions like what to wear based on the weather forecast, checking if I have reached my weekly steps target, doing grocery shopping with a suggestion of my frequent bought products. Have I consumed too many calories or not enough ( unfortunately it is always too many calories with a combination of not enough daily steps), buying gifts with Gifts Idea AI for my friends and family, when I do not have any idea what to buy.

Moreover I also extensively apply AI in my daily professional life. I am a big fan of Copilot to help with data analysis and project management. I love Google Gemini to summarize texts and write simple drafts for me and also help me to plan my learning. Who does not love Amelia- the current most human AI ?!!! I presume if your wife, daughter or sister’s name is Amelia it can be quite confusing at home. I do not have to mention who has more to say…right? J.

So yes… AI helps us to reach our daily goals by checking if we stay on track, make our daily decisions and simply make our life more simple. However, I am rather sceptical whether AI can stimulate creativity and autonomy. These two aspects remain debatable for me at this stage of my learning and my personal experience with AI.

I feel I become quite dependable on AI and autonomy is about self-governing and making independent decisions…however do we always make our own decisions when using AI? Furthermore, creativity is about using our imagination, our own unique perception and talent. Can AI replace this really?

We are living in a science – fiction reality and it is both exciting and threating what the future will bring for the human mankind !
