Positive Reinforcement in Behaviorism
One important concept in behaviorism is positive reinforcement. this means encouraging a behavior by giving a reward or praise after it happens. for example, when a teacher praises their student for answering a question, the student is more likely to participate again. Even small gestures, like smiling to student, can increase their confident and make them more engaged in discussions. Positive reinforcement is effective because it motivates students to keep trying and be active in the class. However, if it used too much, students might only participate for getting the rewards instead of focusing on learning and improving.
