Project Update Week 3

I've finished my outline as of last week. This is what it looks like. When I outline papers or projects, I phrase it into question form first, because I look at academic work as answering a larger question. In my case, it is how can AI change SEL in a beneficial way?

1. What are restorative practices? What is AI? Why does this topic matter?

2. What is restorative justice theory? What is social emotional learning?

3. What do current restorative practices in schools look like? How could AI be used?

4. Does AI support theories surrounding restorative justice and social emotional learning? Can AI change the trajectory of school discipline and how?

When creating this outline, I spent a lot of time on looking for works that answered the questions I'm posing to myself. This was difficult because restorative justice is still a fairly new practice and overall reception based on what I am finding isn't very positive. I came across the term 'restorative thinking' in doing my research and found it an interesting bridge between from traditional approaches to school discipline to restorative practices.
