Project Update Week 5-AI Image
When creating an AI image, I was determined to make one that did a comparison of restorative justice within the criminal justice system to restorative justice in schools. It kept coming up with cartoon images, which I did not want. I tried fine tuning it to “create a realistic image” and it would not spit out what I wanted. As of today, I inputted in the prompt, “can you make a realistic visual comparison of restorative justice taking place in the criminal justice system and restorative justice taking place in a classroom?” and it gave me the attachment you see below. While AI seems to outdo us at every turn it certainly can not read our minds and maybe I placed my faith in it being able to generate exactly what I want. This tells me it relies on specific prompting with details in order to make use of it. I’m beginning to look at AI as a tool similar to an encyclopedia or google where I can search what I need when I need it. I appreciate AI’s ability to not be limited to text but also images. In academia, this proves very useful when it comes to generating images that represent ideas we are putting forth.
*CGscholar is not letting me upload the image I generated. I tried uploading it as a jpeg, png, and jpg and it continues to send an error message.
