Project Update Week 6-AI Review and Peer Review
I appreciated the AI Reviewer! It really helped me expand upon my work and guided me as to what I needed improvement on. It was scary in a way to see how quickly it could spit out suggestions and how to reword so efficiently vs. the Peer Reviews I received. While peer reviews are valuable and offer diverse perspectives, it did not quite match the specificity or quality that the Cyber reviewer was able to provide. Understandably, we don’t all speak like scholars in our everyday life and practice as educators and the AI Reviewer gave me ways to improve upon my writing to include a far more scholarly tone than what I’m used to delivering. At the same time, I took solace in the fact that a person read my work and gave me feedback similar in verbiage and wording to what I provided when I gave my feedback to a peer. That is because a person was reading my work and I felt the human connection from hearing constructive criticism, even if I did not agree. Not agreeing at times did evoke some emotion on my end, which I did not express when my work was reviewed by AI.
