New Learning MOOC’s Updates
Relating Classrooms to Community.
One of my favorite concepts is the focus on meaningful learning by connecting it with the real world. It made me remember that students are better encouraged when they know how the lessons are relevant to their lives. Do you consider the good pedagogy to be also relevant to bridging the gap between classroom education and community concerns?
Update:
Today, one such example of genuine pedagogy is project-based learning, which is the case when students create a community garden to study the concepts of sustainability, teamwork, and science. It involves collaboration, inquiry, and problem-solving which are based on the real life applicability. This method enables students to be able to use what they learn in classroom to real life scenarios and therefore education is not only interactive but also redefining.
